The Bunker

On the north shore of the Hawaii island of Maui, in the middle of a field that sits on the edge of cliffs dropping down into the waters of the Pacific Ocean, sits a small rectangular brick building that I call The Bunker. I have no idea of its original usage. Whatever that was, it now sits empty and its walls have become a canvas for unknown artists, at least unknown to me.

While I have missed most of the paintings to date - they either were drawn before I first visited here twenty years ago, or I simply have not taken photos of many of the murals - my aim here is to capture the changing faces of The Bunker going forward.

I'll also drop in a handful that I have collected over the years.

The frequency of posts will depend on how often the character of The Bunker is updated, and all updates can be found under The Bunker menu item.
