A repost from Ethan Nichtern: Heroes Who Meditate Day 19 -Matthieu Ricard. Ricard was beginning a career as a talented French scientist ( his father was also a prominent contemporary French philosopher), when he abruptly became a Tibetan Buddhist monk, one of the first Westerners to do so. he is a very insightful teacher and writer about the mind. I completely agree with his statement here: religion is optional, humanity is essential.
Remembering His Holiness the Dalai Lama and the Tibetan people on this 57th Anniversary of Tibetan Uprising Day, marking 57 years in exile for the Tibetan people.
I am touched and grateful for the interest that there has been in the Gentle Men discussion that I am holding on February 29th. There is potentially one space left, so please do get in touch if you are interested.
Because of the interest shown, I have been wondering if there would be a wish for additional dates? For example, perhaps the weekday timing of this talk does not work for everyone, when a weekend would? Or maybe an evening is better? If you are interested in attending but cannot make the February 29th date, please contact me at david@crossingthethrehsold.net with times and days of the week that work best for you (please include the timezone that you live in). If there is sufficient interest, I will look to schedule another date.
Again, for more information and registration details, please see link in bio.
Thank you, David.
Inviting men, men who are looking for a new story of what it means to be a man. The quiet men, the sensitive men, men who don’t identify with the macho, dominant image of men. I invite you men to a free discussion on February 29.
